New York, NY & Tucson, AZ
Looking forward to seeing classmates at our 50th! And here’s some Breaking News: I’ll be Guest Artist In Residence at the DeGrazia Foundation’s Little Gallery on Swan Road January 10-22, 2016. My “The Desert Reimagined” collage series will have a solo exhibition and I’ll be in the gallery to welcome all from 10AM-4PM daily, January 11-22 (January 10 is the opening reception from noon to 4PM). Hope to see you!
Am still living in Greenwich Village, still writing travel and essays … and am doing a lot of consulting editorial work with websites and startups. So far I’ve reported from 127 countries and hope to add more each year. Increasingly, however, my role as artist has been my focus. My collages have received two solo exhibitions in New York City, and a third will be in February 2016, a month long solo exhibition at the historic Jefferson Market Library Gallery in Greenwich Village (the party is Friday, February 6 from 6-8PM if you’re in town). With leftover energy I’m also a licensed New York City sightseeing guide, a volunteer ambassador for New York in the Big Apple Greeter Program, showing domestic and international VIPs NYC through the eyes of a real New Yorker (who was born and raised in Tucson!). I’m always happy to see classmates here.
I plan to move back to Tucson eventually and visit frequently during the year to stay in touch. Since a writer is never retired, I’m also working on some fiction and a desert memoir. Between assignments, am having lots of fun with good friends, going to museums, lots of Broadway shows, and indulging in a passion for all food French. I’m happily single and life is good. So looking forward to seeing everyone in 2016 (or before).
